There're some professional customers ask for the tonnage of our injection molding machines.Today I will introduce what's tonnage of injection molding machine.
There are usually two ways to distinguish the size of the injection molding machine:
Tonnage:It refers to the maximum clamping force of the injection molding machine. The clamping force is to see whether the injection molding machine can withstand the pressure on the projected area of the product in the mold. For example, a 120-ton injection molding machine refers to an injection molding machine with a maximum clamping force of 120 tons.
Grams refers to the maximum injection weight of the injection molding machine using PE as raw material. For example, a 200g injection molding machine means that the maximum injection weight using PE as the raw material is 200 grams.
Among the commonly used models, the smallest is 40 tons, but this is not absolute. There are also 35 tons in China.
However, there are some, such as miniature precision injection molding machines for high-precision parts, which are much smaller than this level. The maximum injection volume is less than 15 grams, the clamping force is about 20 tons, and the weight of the whole machine is less than 200 kg.
