In the process of metal enclosure processing, it is corresponding to heat processing. Cold processing refers to the processing technology that makes the metal plastic deformation under the recrystallization temperature, such as cold rolling, cold drawing, cold forging, stamping, cold extrusion and so on.
Cold working has great resistance to deformation, while metal forming can improve the hardness and strength of workpieces by using work hardening, but it will reduce plasticity. Cold working is suitable for machining metal parts with small section size, high machining dimension and high surface roughness.
