How to prevent stress cracking from the design of the plastic enclosure?
1, Dimensions of the plastic box
In order to effectively disperse the internal stress when designing plastic products, the following principle should be followed
The shape of the plastic shell should be as continuous as possible, avoiding sharp angles, right angles, gaps, and sudden expansion or reduction.
2, The edge of the plastic shell should be designed with rounded corners, where the inner rounded corner radius should be greater than 70% of the thickness of the thinner of the two adjacent walls; the outer rounded corner radius is determined according to the shape of the product.

For parts with a large difference in wall thickness, due to different cooling rates, internal cooling stress and orientation internal stress are likely to occur. Therefore, it should be designed as a workpiece with as uniform wall thickness as possible. If the wall thickness must be uneven, the gradual transition of the wall thickness difference must be carried out.
